Barwon Heads Bridge (Photo by Kyle Simpson) will star in the television series adaptation of John Marsden’s Tomorrow When The War Began novels.

The ABC3 and Ambience Entertainment production will be filming on the bridge on October 12 and 13 from 9am to 6pm. The City of Greater Geelong has warned the filming could lead to a “maximum 15 minute delays” to drivers and pedestrians, and will involve the use of props weapons.

The six-part series, which will air next year, covers the first of the highly acclaimed seven-book series and will feature a new cast from the 2010 film adaptation as well as well-known talents Deborah Mailman, James Stewart from Packed to the Rafters and Sibylla Budd from Winners and Losers.

The series also features scenes from Clunes and around Melbourne.
